Army Strong

This was a joke I heard from my old commander and I will try my best to retell it

One day the secretary of defense came to oversea how a joint military operation was going. In order to foster good natured competition he had a small bet going. What ever branch of service built a bridge across a large river first would be able to have bragging rights and first choice at the dining facility on what was on the menu. This of course was taken well and each branch of service got busy.

The Navy got busy designing a bridge and making logistical plans for supplies and equipment. They used their experience in military contracting to build the bridge as quickly as possible. However they hit a snag as contractual language was misinterpretted and the bridge couldn’t hold a weight greater than 50 pounds.

The Marines hadn’t had time to complete their own bridge as they were under the direction of the Navy, and had to finish the Navy bridge first and any supplies left over they could use to build their own bridge. The Marines began testing their bridge, which immediately gave way and had to be rescued by the Coast Guard.

The Air Force with its superior intellect started right away using a massive computer system to calculate the most cost effective away to build a bridge using state of the art materials. However due to a rounding error in the calculation of the bridge the Air Force had to redesign their bridge again and again.

Finally the Army had their chance, the Army Captain, a seasoned vet, look a long hard look at the landscape. After a few moments he turned to his sergeant while pointing and said, “Sergeant! I want a bridge right fucking there!”

American Made Till I Die! ….unless my life depends on it

That’s right, I still buy American. And you know why? Because I am an American damnit! And I’ll be damned if my hard earned American dollars are going to go out and buy some crappy foreign made V6 from some country that the US either bombed or helped save their butt.

The arrogance of foreign car drivers only FUELS my fire to buy American! There is something about the pricks who wakeup and say, “You know, my countries economy is in the toilet, but I’ll get a “

And what makes me so sick is that the RATIONALIZE it as such.
1. American Cars are Inferior and prone to break
2. American cars aren’t well made and cost a lot to fix.
3. If I buy a foreign car then I’m still supporting America because it was made in some screwed up southern state anyways!

Lies, Lies, and Damned lies!

1. American cars are just as well made any other car! The problem is morons want a V8 with 300horsepower and drive the hell out of it, then are shocked when something breaks. Hey genius ever look at the requirements to maintain a Ferrari? Its almost $50,000 a year in maintenance ALONE! The reason your Honda civic lasted so damn long was because it was meant to drive at a top speed of 90mph. Go ahead and mod it like al the imports do and get back to me after the heads break!

2. American cars cost LESS to fix then imports. For example on my Mustang GT convertible the rack and pinion went out. My car is only 3 years old but I floor it at every red light, red line it at least once a day, and my average cruising speed with no traffic is around 120mph. And this car is my DAILY DRIVER. So with that kind of abuse (including gettting airborne twice, both times by accident in a hilly area) it has held up real good! Total cost including labor, parts, and taxes was $650 dollars. Oil changes are done at 3,000 miles for $24 dollars, at 30,000 miles it goes through services for $600 dollars. Good quality tires (that last for three years with my driving) usually go for $600-800 for all four. Now before you compare this to a Kia Pride or some other crap lets actually compare a Ford Mustang to another car in its CLASS! Your looking for a car with a V8 engine and about 350hp. The closet thing we have is the BMW 650i coupe, but wait! My car is a convertible. So you are going to compare a $30,000 Mustang GT Convertible to a BMW 650i convertible at $81,000! That is a $50,000 difference for all you math majors out there, which is BIG to say the least. What car performs better? The BMW but your paying $50,000 more, and your not going that much faster. Now if you want to pickup gold diggers and impress pricks then that is the car for you. If I put another $15,000 in my Mustang it would SMOKE any 650i and I still got change to play with!

3. This one is simple. I don’t care how many plants foreign companies put in the US, guess where the parts are coming from to assemble the car? Guess where the profits are going? I’m not talking about the chump change they play their idiot employees, I mean the REAL profits dumbass! Funny thing is they don’t buy are cars, hell they never did! But here we are, the sheople sending are hard earned dollars out of the economy to someone half a world away, and then wonder why it seems America is falling apart. These are the same clowns that tell me a Honda motorcycle is the way to go. There are two things I’ll never do in this life, “Suck dick and drive a Honda!” PERIOD! It won’t happen. I hope all you import apologist slip and fall and impale yourself on a phallic object.

Long live the American muscle car!

My next car is, used guess it a Dodge Charger SRT8 in black. Gas prices be damned! The only way we are going to win this war is by using up all the resources on the planet! I’m doing my part in the American Idle!

Don’t buy guns that rhyme with Cock

Well after reading some message boards over at ARFCOM.
I decided it was time to give some insight regarding my experience with handguns and ammunition. Many people love the Glock series of pistols due to its reliability, and one of the main arguments I hear against the 1911 platform and the CZ75 is that they aren’t reliable with all types of ammo. Now I have shot glocks and own two XD pistols, both of which I regret. While the Glock and XD pistols resonable accurate they don’t have a natural grip angle. I actually have to concentrate a lot more, breath, and pay attention to my trigger pull while using a Glock and XD. Yes these are all things I should be doing anyways but with a CZ75 or 1911 I simply pick it up and squeeze the trigger, the way things should be. I’ve had similiar problems with the Beretta 92 and I believe the main reason for this is two fold. One double action triggers are a joke, and the half-double and half-single actions of striker fired pistols takes the worst from both worlds. I find myself having to wrap my finger around and into the trigger of a Beretta 92 and I find myself having to fire a few test shots down range to get the exact trigger placement on a Glock or XD. With a 1911 or a CZ75 I just pick it up and fire. I can probably fire both of those fire pistols totally drunk. Its no surprise that the 1911 was created by one of the most world’s more famous engineers and the CZ series of pistols, well lets say after years of revolutions, cold wars, ethnic cleansing, and world wars are brothers in the east know a thing or two about what does and does not work in combat.

Now the issue of ammunition, all to often I hear people make this stupid comment, “I loved the CZ75 compact but it wouldn’t cycle anything but FMJ” or “I own 9 1911 and none of them reliably cycle anything but FMJ 100% of the time”. Well I have a nice fix for that, just shoot FMJ. I only shoot FMJ because from my experience its “just as good” and a lot this technology in ammunition is highly overrated. Don’t believe me? Go do some research on how often hollow points actually expand. All finished? Great! You see the problem is there are many factors that have to be taken into consideration when a bullet enters a human body such as angle, velocity, clothing, body weight, drugs & alcohol, and the sheer determination of the individual to survive. There have been many people shot multiple times with both hollowpoint pistol and rifle rounds and still managed to cause a lot of damage WITHOUT being on drugs or alcohol. Never underestimate a human that wants to survive. When we hear about a soldier or marine that took multiple hits in combat and still managed to knock out machine gun nest we feel pride in our fighting forces, but when we hear about a bank robber being shot 27 times we automatically assume he was on drugs or our weapons just aren’t powerful enough. The truth is that stopping power is a fallacy and the only guaranteed way to stop any assailant is to fire a shot through his frontal lobe. People have been shot in the face before and survived, the only guaranteed man stopper is the frontal lobe that is actually a VERY small target compared to the rest of the human body. Hollow point rounds are nothing more than a clever marketing gimic to the legions of armchair commandos with disposable incomes.

Lets not forget the legal implications, remember if you use a gun in self defense you will NOT be tried by a jury of your peers, you will be tried by a jury of people to stupid to get our of jury duty, have altierior motives to want to be a juror, house wives, unemployed people, and the elderly. These people by default are usually a little to the left and uneducated, so basically your fucked. It won’t be that hard to turn “hollow point” into “cop killer” bullets and everything to get bent out of shape. The main question on everyone’s mind is, “Why didn’t he just use regular bullets?” Nevermind the local police department uses hollow points because they’re trained professionals, what the hell are you doing with them? And if you re-load your ammunition, god help you! Your best bet when it comes to ammunition is to pickup whatever is on sale at Wally World and practice with it. There is no point in keep some “special backup” ammo that cost $1 a bullet in permanent storage. Buy ammo, practice with it regularly, buy more ammo. You’ll have a lot more confidence knowing A. the bullet will function B. there is no guess work as to its effects, its a piece of metal flying very quickly.

All said an done, my most trusted rig remains the Sig Revolution TTT 1911 with Remington FMJ .45ACP ( I get the big 250rnd pack at Wally World)

Election stuff

Well there was some type of presidential canidate thing today with people who want to be the president talking…um…en stuff.

So you’re probably expecting me, a highly opinionated and dangerously good looking to comment on it as a lot of other bloggers are doing. Well I’m not and I’ll tell you why.

For one I like America because it is a constitutional republic, which many people…including are leaders seem to forget. For one our constitution generally dictates (or is supposed to) how the country is run, hence we have guns, freedom of speech, and some other things I’m really not concerned about.

As for democracy, I think Winston says it best;
“The best argument against democracy is a five minute conversation with the average voter!” Sir Winston Churchill. And that’s the hard truth of it, after watching television shows such as “Are you smarter than a 5th grader?” its amazing anyone actually believes in the democratic process, but lets suppose in some alternative dimension people are somewhat educated and don’t vote for cannidates based on height.

However then we have the problems of corruption, such as presidents that weren’t even elected in the first place and doing things that no one agrees with. The whole concept is a joke and only tools believe it.

My political actions go as far as paying taxes and exercising my right to bear arms.
And before anyone comments, “oh your not patriotic, your part of the problem, you should try to change” let me just say “Fuck you!” I’ve served in the military proudly and did a lot more than other people ever will.

You’re fucking kidding right?

Well the other day I remembered a conversation I had with a rather conservative upstanding friend of mine. The topic of sex had come up and we agreed to disagree. Was interesting thing to point out was whether porn should be regulated, I of course being a lover of freedom said no, he disagreed. It’s amazing the lengths we in the western world go to in order to “safeguard” the general populace for pornography, or even anything remotely sexual in nature. Yet! At the same time we have no reservations regarding gratuitous violence. It’s a sad state of affairs when its more socially acceptable to watch movie like Hostel as opposed to Pump My Ass Full of Cum. Underlying message here is that its okay to hack, saw, shoot, and disregard human life as long as you don’t fuck them in the ass and you BOTH enjoy it.

Just look at popular TV series, Oz that featured more prison rape scenes than any other televised show in history, then your have the Sopranos which served to glorify organized crime, but don’t you dare show porn on television, that’s just sick! So let me get this straight, it’s okay to watch hours of people being killed and hacked up but you cross the line with penetration. Even our children are exposed to hours upon hours of violence through video games such as Halo and Grand Theft Auto, but are scolded if they download porn on their personal computers. So what would be better, letting your children commit another columbine or getting their girlfriend pregnant?

America has far too much violence in every faucet of life, from video games and movies to its music. Perhaps if we relaxed some of these taboos our nation wouldn’t be so concerned with “respect” and violence and more concerned with ass. Most men don’t even know how to give their women an orgasm, and for that matter many women never even had an orgasm! So we fill our lives with materialistic goods, busy adventures to exotic places, and tune our unfilled desires into aggression by fighting with loved ones, and expressing ourselves in less than constructive means. Perhaps taking some time every week to watch some professionals pound away at each other with no inhibitions would do something to remind us that we are still basically animals, with animalistic needs and desires, and by fulfilling those desires instead of fighting them we can achieve a better balance.
