That’s right, I still buy American. And you know why? Because I am an American damnit! And I’ll be damned if my hard earned American dollars are going to go out and buy some crappy foreign made V6 from some country that the US either bombed or helped save their butt.
The arrogance of foreign car drivers only FUELS my fire to buy American! There is something about the pricks who wakeup and say, “You know, my countries economy is in the toilet, but I’ll get a “
And what makes me so sick is that the RATIONALIZE it as such.
1. American Cars are Inferior and prone to break
2. American cars aren’t well made and cost a lot to fix.
3. If I buy a foreign car then I’m still supporting America because it was made in some screwed up southern state anyways!
Lies, Lies, and Damned lies!
1. American cars are just as well made any other car! The problem is morons want a V8 with 300horsepower and drive the hell out of it, then are shocked when something breaks. Hey genius ever look at the requirements to maintain a Ferrari? Its almost $50,000 a year in maintenance ALONE! The reason your Honda civic lasted so damn long was because it was meant to drive at a top speed of 90mph. Go ahead and mod it like al the imports do and get back to me after the heads break!
2. American cars cost LESS to fix then imports. For example on my Mustang GT convertible the rack and pinion went out. My car is only 3 years old but I floor it at every red light, red line it at least once a day, and my average cruising speed with no traffic is around 120mph. And this car is my DAILY DRIVER. So with that kind of abuse (including gettting airborne twice, both times by accident in a hilly area) it has held up real good! Total cost including labor, parts, and taxes was $650 dollars. Oil changes are done at 3,000 miles for $24 dollars, at 30,000 miles it goes through services for $600 dollars. Good quality tires (that last for three years with my driving) usually go for $600-800 for all four. Now before you compare this to a Kia Pride or some other crap lets actually compare a Ford Mustang to another car in its CLASS! Your looking for a car with a V8 engine and about 350hp. The closet thing we have is the BMW 650i coupe, but wait! My car is a convertible. So you are going to compare a $30,000 Mustang GT Convertible to a BMW 650i convertible at $81,000! That is a $50,000 difference for all you math majors out there, which is BIG to say the least. What car performs better? The BMW but your paying $50,000 more, and your not going that much faster. Now if you want to pickup gold diggers and impress pricks then that is the car for you. If I put another $15,000 in my Mustang it would SMOKE any 650i and I still got change to play with!
3. This one is simple. I don’t care how many plants foreign companies put in the US, guess where the parts are coming from to assemble the car? Guess where the profits are going? I’m not talking about the chump change they play their idiot employees, I mean the REAL profits dumbass! Funny thing is they don’t buy are cars, hell they never did! But here we are, the sheople sending are hard earned dollars out of the economy to someone half a world away, and then wonder why it seems America is falling apart. These are the same clowns that tell me a Honda motorcycle is the way to go. There are two things I’ll never do in this life, “Suck dick and drive a Honda!” PERIOD! It won’t happen. I hope all you import apologist slip and fall and impale yourself on a phallic object.
Long live the American muscle car!
My next car is, used guess it a Dodge Charger SRT8 in black. Gas prices be damned! The only way we are going to win this war is by using up all the resources on the planet! I’m doing my part in the American Idle!
